Unfortunate finding in S4 in-dash CD player..
The damn thing won't play CD-Rs! The changer does just fine, however. Bummer.
Are there CD magazines out there that are better than the OEM one? Getting the discs out of it is MUCH harder than it should be. The changer in my old '96 12v at least had these little tabs that you pushed to eject the discs.

The media you use plays a big part in whether or not a player will read the cd-r. If possible use media that is not dark blue. My home cd player will not read verbatim media (very dark blue) but works just fine with sony CDQ-74CN media (very light greenish-blue).

Well.. just tried a few more disc types..
Maxell Golds - Work
Maxell Greens - Work
Verbatim Blues - Work
Verbatim Silvers - Work
Ricoh Golds - Don't work! (argh!)

The Ricohs work great in the changer, too.. damn!
