Default Update on the K04/16's that failed after 150 miles......

Aparently the inside of the intake manifold was jethot coated when the outside was done. I don't think this was intended, but it happened. Some of that coating chipped off and went through the engine to the turbos where it knocked the turbine wheels out of balance. you can see the damage in the first pic. The second picture shows what part of the wheel was damaged in relation to the wheel inside the turbine housing. That part of the turbine wheel is directly exposed to the exhaust gasses.

Default oh yes I remember those ; / never coat inside of intake or exhaust manifolds

BTW I told you i'll post about it fvcker now where are my new K16s ?

Default Jet hot is pretty sloppy, they ruined a set of E-manis of mine doing the same thing, second time....

around I used Swaintech. They did a fantastic job. I have pictures in my picture poster

Default That is a lot of buildup on the blades for only 150miles?

What is it? Carbon?

Imolavirus can give an informed answer but my guess is the build-up is a result of the failure
