uuc install
I did a 30% install on UUC shortshifter. Spent a lot of time un-doing and re-doing the adjustment step, but I'm still not totally thrilled with it. Is it normal that gears 4 and 5 are WAY to the right? Whenever I tried to compensate for this, I seemed to get into a situation where it would have trouble getting 'out' of reverse. I'd get into reverse fine, but when I pulled back on the shift **** it'd pop into some intermediate state that wasn't quite neutral. Now that I've got that fixed okay, it still seems that getting it INTO reverse is a little tricky. I guess I need to go back and dick with it some more?
On a related note, what's the feeling about putting different transmission fluid into the car to improve shifting feel. I remember, years ago (early 90's) when I had my Eagle Talon (also known for having a somewhat mediocre shifter), changing the fluid to something like Redline MTL actually made a noticeable difference. Has anybody tried something like this?

Re: Redline fluid
My dealer recomended changing trans fluid to Redline [mt-90]. It did help smooth it out some. It is better fot the trans. I want to chg the diff to redline as well but do not know the best
