Default VAG Brake pad wear sensor. Does it work??

I tried to follow the instructions on
http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/audiB5.html
but I failed to disable the warning light using the code 06364.

What I found wierd is that my original code was 02364 which should have had windshield fluid and brake pad wear warning disabled!! I remember I had that windshield fluid warning before. Does VAG really work on my 2000 S4??

I have shorted the wire before; however I think for some reason it came off...

Default I'm told that you need to short the sensor and VAG while shorted.

Then, the procedure works properly.

Default It was 02XXX before I VAG it so it should have worked!!

But it didn't. The warning came back on.

OK It was shorted and set to 02364 before. All of a sudden the warning came on yesterday.

Default Try coding them back on, then short the sensor, then recode them back off.

If the sensors weren't shorted correctly before the code was initially changed the sensors seem to stay active even though the code says the sensors are off. I had to do this with old my 99.5 A4.

FYI: According to Ross-Tech the washer fluid sensor on/off "may only work on pre 2000 models"

Default Same thing happened to me. I will try Quicksilvers approach..

However I might have bigger issues, for the indicator doesnt go off till I make a hard left, or slight right turn. But coding it off before hand.. mightve fuxored that for me.
