Default vibration in 1sr gear

I'm looking at a 2001 s4 and one thing I've noticed in 1st gear it has a vibration coming from the rear, is this something normal? Also a little more info, the car was rearended but now has been fixed, would it be advisable not to go with a car like this evern though the price is excellant. Also looking for good Audi mechanic in the wisconsin area
