The 540hp is using the now awarded RS6 turbos.
The problem is that the apparent lag is HUGE.

Default they were probably trying to keep it a constant...
so they did a 4th gear pull or something of the like.
id imagine this was more of a test than a race.

That..or..maybe choose a turbo setup which offers a broader powerband w/the stock motor/valvetrain.

Default seen this video a billion times, he doesn't downshift, looks like he started in 5th...
everyone else starts in 3rd. That car has a much broader power band then most. I've been driving a stock turbo STI this week and holy ****, that thing hates life below 3500 rpm.
