Wanted: your shift surround, bird's eye maple for 6-speed
I installed everything but that part this weekend (thanks to StreetCrawler) and am now trying to hunt one down.
Needs to match this stuff (just don't pay any attention to the shift ****, its going away!):

Funny you should ask...
Since the entire dash and center console has to come apart, it takes a while.
Started about 10:30 or 11, we weren't all that focused though, and it was dark as I was securing the last bolts in my A4! So a lazy 7 hours or so, but it could be done in 3 I think - especially now that I've been in there. I put the S4 back together the next day (he stripped the paint off my A4 trim and made brushed aluminum, so that took a while) in about 40 minutes or less.

Here is what I did with his old trim!

actually I just got a new gray one off ebay so that will go in there now. Here's a pic:
