This Weekend: MAHA Dyno Day on Sat, April 29th
With much arm twisting, I have gotten us a facility for a Dyno Day for us Audi members!
What: Dyno Day and GTG for fellow Audi TT (and non-TT owners) at the AMS Facilities in Carson, CA. We will provide free food and drinks! (Hey, since its coming out of my own pocket, think "pizza" ^_^). We have a 1000 sq. ft. lounge facility, playstation2, free espresso bar, big screen TV, couch, etc. Bring your family and friends and just hang around for a good time!
We will be dyno'ing on a MAHA LPS-3000, an official Audi and Porsche approved dyno. More information can be found here!. This dyno has a calibration white paper written by Audi and is known to give accurate HP rating!

Real cars can handle it, if your car cant handle it, it wasnt built for reliability&power :P
seriously though, if your car throws a rod on the MAHA, then there is no way in hell it will withstand 20k miles of daily driving at those power levels.

Yup... both my S4 and the RS4 have spent considerable amounts of time (days?) on the Maha probably
more time than most cars do. And I haven't had any issues AT ALL. Heck I've seen him spend 8 hours STRAIGHT tuning/playing with my S4 on there with minimal breaks and the car held up just fine.
FYI, Marc just tuned a forum members K04/RS6 car to 496 HP on the MAHA (race gas) and 465+ on 93 octane. I'm hoping for 500+ on race gas and 475+ on pump.

Most of the blown cars on this forum and we are talking internals were blown on that dyno
And probably because of a few variables, the main reason being lemi tweaking and no one listening or reacting to detonation.
the other may be lack of cooling (but this facility has some decent fans I hear, maybe they were not turned up, who knows).
But as lunch said, if your car is built fine, it should be able to handle a 45-60 second dyno pull.
But 45-60 seconds of running without sufficient airflow (100mph+ head winds) could create some issues for some cars.
