<center><img src="http://tychl.txf.com/tiebar.jpg"></center><p>Okay guys, heres a new one. About a month ago i got my tranny rebuilt (under extended warranty). About 2 weeks later i noticed (not all the time, but very often), what sounds like a hard knock each time i accelerate hard, then when i brake. I am not braking immediatey after. Just when i come coasting to a stop light. I initially thought it was the seat, but seems to be coming from under the car underneath the stereo console, or the gear shift. I have no idea what it is, and really dont want to take it to the dealer. Its really annoying. Any suggestions would be great.

It was suggested to check the tiebar. But for whatever reason, i dont have one (this pic was sent to me). Then suggested to check the subframe bolts. Anyone have a pic of these bolts? Not sure where they are. Thanks

my B&amp;M shifter was making a loud clunking under acceleration and braking because it slid off the nylon rail bumpers... just a shot in the dark.

Did you figure it out? I'm having similar clunks under the stereo?

Im hearing the same klunk sound right underneath the driver seat when i brake hard and accelerate. 2000 stock s4, dunno what it is yet but im prolly gonna check it out soon.
