Default Weird tire wear on my left front S03. Is this a bad belt?

It is just wearing the inner edge, and it's worn on almost a 45 degree angle. The rest of the tire looks fine, no cupping. All other tires fine. What do you think? I need to go on a 1000 mile road trip next week and don't want to put my other tires on if the alignment is out and chance ruining them too.

Default Exactly how my passenger side S-03s wore ...

Driver's side wore the inside shoulders off, but the passenger's side wear created a sort of lip.

I have pics very similar to yours, and then pics of how they separated along that "lip" ... but my server is down.

You know, I've got the EXACT same problem with mine, and they're also within spec (except it's on the outside shoulder).

If you breathe on these things, they get out of alignment.

Default My SO3s did this. Make sure you rotate early when new....

Was the tire on the rear of the car previously? A heavy right foot sets up this pattern if you don't rotate.

Default My Toyos did the same thing. I'm not sure what's rubbing but it seem fairly common. I just...

rotate often enough that it's OK.
