I guess I should have been more hesitant. I think I jynxed myself
After the previous owner had ~30k miles of trouble free K04 bliss and I logged another ~8k myself it looks like I either ate a turbo or blew out my head gasket earlier tonight. I was running full throttle in first gear and heard a muffled pop and the next thing I know my car is sh!tting smoke... There is a very good chance that a few things on the car will be parted out(yes, I know one of you has claimed dibs on seats elevenybillion times ) and sold in the near future either as it sits or repaired depending on cost/resale.
I'm still saying a prayer that I may have popped off an I/C hose, but I think that is pretty unlikely. I was laying down a smoke screen while I limped the car a half mile so there was no way I was going to get on it without knowing where my oil level was to check for funny sounds, but based on a few quick conversations with some knowledgable people it sounds like it will end up being turbos...

Nope...
I was already ready to get myself into a car that would get me to work every day without having to worry about anything and this just put the nail in the coffin. Depending on what the cost of repairs looks like I will be selling it as is or repaired. I will also more than likely be parting out the wheels and the seats. It is already sitting in the lot up at MSP and Carson has also inquired about buying it so it may be out of my hands in the very near future.
Strangely enough I was looking at the new G35 sedans online earlier today and this happened about two blocks away from the Infiniti dealership my buddy sells cars at (and where the pictures were taken). At least we had a good excuse to go grab a few beers and watch a few baseball games after he dropped me off

I wish I could, but its not an option without a second car at this point...
I got very luck with my timing... A guy I work with is out of town from tomorrow evening until Sunday so he said he'll pick me up for work tomorrow and I can borrow his car for the weekend. I plan on signing a lease on a new car in the next few days. Putting the kind of money that I have (and will continue to unless I get something "boring") put into cars just doesn't make sense when I'm only 23 and should be saving money for another house or something along those lines. Missing work because I chose to drive a highly modified car is not an option any more either.
