Default What do you all think about straight piping my exhaust?

We have no DEQ(emmisions) where i live so would the a straight piped borla exhaust be a worthwhile upgrade or would the gains not be worth eliminating the cats altogether?

Default Sure, but

I would leave the muffler on. Test pipes are fine if you can live with the CEL, but leave the muffler as your neighbors will thank you.

Default Oh sorry. That was poorly worded. I meant a CAT delete. I would still have mufflers ....

but straight pipe all 4 cats. I would definately use the Borla mufflers =D

Default Also if an officer would happen to be behind you, it's fairly easy to tell that the car is not

running cats. I'm sure even though they don't do emissions tests at inspection stations it's probably still illegal to not have cats.

Default Trust me on this. I ran straight headers on a 76' built 350ci chevy lifted for 3 years. I doubt this

car will be louder than that. I was more wonder weather the power gain from having no cats is worth it. Or would it even be noticable?

It's not the noise I'm concerned with. It's the environmental impact/legality of the matter.

Default Well to put a positive spin on things the environmental impact would still be MUCH less than my old

chevy. And is the sound going to be a lot louder than Borla+piggy?
