What ever happened to that LCD window tint that you could turn on or off.
I saw it way back in the day on Beyond 2000 discovery channel. Man I miss those shows.

They have it for houses...
My parents have it in their bathroom. I think the problem is they default to opaque, and you need power to be clear, which is dangerous in a car.
|
All you have to do reverse engineer and cross mojonizate the stratafanibulator...
and re-adjust the finnigan pin on the johnson rod. Then you can hook them up to your car using a blasted symoflange and it will work just fine.

I have put those windows in on a few houses up here. Cool stuff. But HEAVY!

Except the phaduborator valve will stick & then your muffler bearings wear out quicker.

Didn't you see "Sum of all Fears" they had it in the conference room....
Yeah I saw that Beyond2000 as well. Discovery channel kicks ass.

I had the idea for that kind of application like 20 yrs ago but never had the resources to pursue.
I still think the best approach would be a solid-state crystaline matrix suspended in a thin film that would change its polarity when a positive or negative charge was applied. This removes the issue of its non-powered state being opaque or clear. In fact, it means power is only involved when changing state and therefore is MUCH more power efficient.
I have still not seen a really good implementation of this kind of application. |
