What kind of difference does Quattro make in street racing? more>>>
ive been attending a couple of street races and have seen some nice results from an all wheel drive car, for example an Eclipse GSX with 16lbs of boost launching from a dead stop over any FWD or RWD car, except supra's of coarse...lol...but my concern is that my friend is buying an Active Autowerke stage 2(420hp) turbo kit on his '98 m3. if i do the full rs4 upgrade and achieve between 420-450hp, what would the outcome of a race be? would quattro launch make a big difference? please post.

Everything.
Look at pat, you think he can beat half the cars out there if it wasnt for quattro and skip barber driving school?
In the streets, the number one problem seems to be traction. With Quattro, it virtually eliminates that problem. Leaving you with a perfect launch everytime.

AA doesn't have a SII for OBDII
OBDII is 400HP. The K04 S4 shouldn't have a problem with an OBDII M3, quattro will give you a big advantage on the street. It's the 95's you have to watch out for. If they get traction, they run low 12s.

You can get a stg2 system to work on an '98 car
All it takes is about 1k worth of parts to convert to obd1. Even so, i think a turbo obd2 car and a k04 s4 would be a pretty close race.
