Pretty content with S4's stock power, just wondering how much I need to shell out for turbo replacements. Can k04s run on stock plumbing and software?

Thanks

Default For labor you are looking at anywhere from $1000 to about $2500 depending

on where you go. For the actual turbos that also depends on what route you choose. You could go K03 remans (~$600/each), new K03's (~800/each), K03/K04's (~700/each), or K04's (~2600). Of course if you're going to keep the car i would recommend something other than the stock K03's as it would be good to increase the reliability of the turobs while you're replacing them.

Just turbos and minimum required hardware.....~$2500 w/o labor. labor varies a lot, but >$1K

Default Thanks... So k04s can run on stock software? I've read it pushes more volume of air .....

and mimmicks chipped k03 characteristics.

Default VV 2nd, I would recomend the k03/k04 hybrids from Buehn

There's a little more power and they're more reliable than just the k03. They run just fine on stock software and piping.

Total hardware cost for this setup would be around $1500 give or take, so that makes it one of the cheapest and more reliable options.

I think I'll rather invest in the K04s, just incase i want to go B-A-N-A-N-A-S with it later.

Default i would also change the clutch to an rs4 too if you are there already ..

and piggie pipes to improove things overall ...
so when you decide to use all the power (and not just 50% of it you don't take the car apart again. it would be a simply wise move (weather you keep the car or sell it)
my 2 cents.
