What PSI do you sent your 205/55R16 WinterSport M3s to?
The 38/38 that the gas door says?
Friggin dealer that mounted them put them from 30-33.5.

Difficult question...
In the end, I set the pressures high on my Hakkas. Mostly I do this to protect the rims. Also to avoid heat problems at high speeds (my Hakkas are only "T" rated).
But I think different conditions would benefit from different pressures. For example, water should be a high pressure. Ice a low pressure. Snow, I'm not so sure but I think on the street it would be high pressures.
These are just my own thoughts. I've not seen a lot of info out there on it.
