Default What size hex bit is used to take off the Snub Mount?

I'm going to make a special tool, but I'd like to know what size I need before I cut the wrong allen wrench.

I'm thinking it's either 7 or 8 mm.

Can anyone give me a definate answer?

TIA.

Oh, and I'm going to do a pictorial DIY for bumper on Snub Mount upgrade.

The three hex bolts that hold the aluminum bracket to the block.

Default is it an apr snub..if so use the apr instructions (bumper off)

that thing is huge and will not fit any other way.

Default interesting idea though....loosen the 3 bolts holding it to the block and try...

Default i tried ..not even close ..go ahead and see for yourself.

it could work with other cheapo/thin snub mounts but NOT with the apr one.

Default I think it's 6...8 seems too big. Can't remember, but I did mine this way too. If I did it again...

I would take the bumper off, loosen the support and put it on. Start the engine, let it settle, then reapply everything. Takes a little longer, but saves with stress.

Default My plan is to take the 4 13mm bolts of the shield, and the 3 hex bolts out...

And then maneuver the whole assembly out.
