Default What temps stock rotors see at the track?

Did anyone used the thermal paint on their stock rotors to measure this?

stock rotors and track should not be used in the same sentence.

wouldn't stock rotors with good high performance pads be adequate for a day at the track?

Default Depends on your experience and how hard you are pushing it.

You'll probably do fine with just upgrading the pads.

Default what I am really getting at is this:

if you know your max rotor temp then you can select appropriate pads and brake fluid that can handle those kind of temperatures.

If you put $$$ brake fluid but have average pads its hight dry boiling point is useless since your pads are going to give first or vice versa.

all this given moderately aggressive driving, not trying to set the lap record :-))

Default You're stock setup will be fine for a track day, just remember not to use your ebrake when you park.

If you are going to be tracking the car a lot, then upgrade your brakes. But one or two times a year, make sure your pads are at least 50%, your rotors are in good condition, and your brake fluid level is good to go. As far as temps go, can't help ya, sorry.
