What would explain a sort of knocking sound from in front of the driver, some sort of suspension...
thing must be going wrong. When I turn right, or maybe it's when the car "rolls" to the left, I sometimes hear a knock from the wheel well in front of me. I'm afraid I'll break something further if I take a turn too fast. The car will be going in for service a week from Tuesday but I was too curious... Thanks.

lower controls arm likely. they tend to go bad on the S.
replaced more than ne on mine for either knocking or the uppe arms squeeking because the rubber bushings degrade and allow the ball joints to rust.
