What's the consensus for tire size on 18 rims?

I was thinking about getting the 225/40/18.
I guess since I don't have to drop my car, I might as well get the 235/40/18 instead.
I have heard that the Yokohama's AVS Sport are pretty noisy at above 45MPH.
Are Toyo's, Michellin's Pilot Sports, or Bridgestone Potenza's S03 Pole Position better with respect to noise?
Anyone knows?
