What's the deal with the MTM Gen II?

What's the deal with the MTM Gen II?
I have an MTM chip in my '00 S4, but I keep hearing about a much improved Gen II chip from MTM, and read the not very clear description at the Stratmosphere site.
However I spoke to Hoppen on Friday and they say that the updated chip only deals with high altitude driving, and does not change anything else...What's up? is there an improved version or not?<p>S4 JJL

The only ones claiming it's better is Stratmosphere..I called Hoppen also and (M)
got the same story as you. I live at sea level, CT, so no big deal for me.
Maybe creating a buzz & hype results in more hits at the Stratmosphere web site, who knows?
Hoppen said they received dozens of calls over this. I'm sure they don't appreciate the hype over nothing.

I had my stage II MTM remapped by Hoppen. They sent it back with a new fuel pressure regulator...
No comparison to original MTM Stage II setup...
