ABT K04's are a k03/k04 hybrid (k03 housing and k04 compressor wheel), right?

It says:" ABT turbo upgrade kit for 2.7T - engine code APB, 360HP" Is it 360hp with only the k04s or are they assuming your stage 2 or 2+?

Default The ABT K04's are just smaller than the RS4 K04's...

...we used to say they were a k04 wheel in a k03 housing, or that they were k04/k03 hybrids, but since they have a true "k04" part number, that got their advocates all out of shape, so let's just say they're little k04's that can't make as much power but might have less lag.

i didnt want to get into this conversation right now, its late, but i dont see why people do not give K03/K04 hybrids more respect.

500 lb-ft worth of torque, huh? Or only 450 lb-ft? Or not even that much?

Default I would like to know also-

K03 housings with K04 cartridges?
How much are they compared to RsK04's?
Maps compared to RSk04's?
Difference in lag?

I do not see much lag with the RSK04's, so is lag/torque really an issue?

Default Well, I'd say the lag is a definite issue at 20mph in second gear...

...when trying to come out of a corner at a mere 2200rpm. On an autocross course with lots of slow 20mph right angle or U-turn corners, I think K03's could be more beneficial than K04's. So yes, less bottom end spool lag than what RS4 K04's exhibit would be nice in a few situations.
