What's the difference between the AWE stage 3 and ASP stage 3?

Enquiring minds wanna know.

BlackS4tt (Josh) 12-31-2006 01:57 PM

oh, nothing at all, same thing. actually APR, AWE, ASP, AMS, and homebrew are all the same.

Eurostile 12-31-2006 01:59 PM

the only thing different is whos team the driver is pimping it for.

DocWyte 12-31-2006 02:10 PM

Thought the APR kit was different due to all the RS4 OEM bits...

If the ASP and AWE kits are basically the same, that makes my decision easy...

LaserAvantS4 12-31-2006 02:14 PM

ASP = no cold start issue? don't tell me you're picking up a b5 s4 again Josh.. :P

BlackS4tt (Josh) 12-31-2006 02:15 PM

sarcasm...

AWE and ASP run different software and hardware, theyre two different kits. ASP tends to run a little more boost in it's OTS form, and is faster than AWEs OTS kit. APRs kit has all those RS4 parts, so its $$$. Some say the RS4 parts are at their limit with the APR kit. STFA.

Im not speaking for any of these tuners BTW, this is from what i understand.

DocWyte 12-31-2006 02:16 PM

So how can you say the ASP kit is faster than the AWE?

Show me dyno's.

FATS times, boost, timing... (edited)

ASP has best customer service.

Not to mention their products are top notch. Apr has good hardware too. I don't like the stepped MAF housing in the AWE kit.

is this related to your trip up to WY?

that STi didn't last long.
