Whats this I hear about toluene?
I see people talking about it on this board, but Im not exactly sure what it is. I think it is a fuel additive, correct? But my real question is, where can you get it, what does it do, and is it safe. Thanks alot.

If you're experiencing detonation/pinging, trying toluene would be a very good idea.
I've experienced detonation every once in awhile at the track, especially on hot days. A gallon of toluene will do wonders for your car...16 gallons of 100 octane will do even more though 
It'll essentially make your engine run better, because it won't have to retard timing as much...especially if you're running higher boost from a chip.
