Default Wheel problems! S4

Guys, I got a huge problem, I sold my old wheels, and bought some new ones. The old ones were mille miglia Emotion type wheels, and were 18x8.5 35mm offset. I bought some new wheels, which are ADR M-SPORT BLACK W/POLLISHED LIP, they are the same exact info- 18x8.5 35mm offset, BUT THESE HIT THE BRAKES! So my question is, why is the dynamics all the same, but the wheel does not fit? Any insight would be awesome! Thanks to all, and also, one more quesion. I bought some spacers, 15mm hub sentric spacers made specifically for audi s4, but they dont come with lug bolts, where can I find some bolts?

THANKS!

Default width and offset only base on where the rim is in relation to the hub.... spoke shape and inner

barrel shape have a lot to do with it as well.... a zerop offset is the back of the mounting surface is inline with the exact center of the wheel (see the pic below) this is why a 17" avus wheel will clear the S4 calipers yet some 19" wheels won't.

Default get in contact with someone at ecs tomorrow morning (long)

they have all the spacers and bolts you'd want. the 15mm spacers you have will put the wheel entirely too far outbard (they will stick out past the fenders) i'd try a 5mm spacer if i were you (also get the according wheel bolts... i forget the measurement of our wheelbolts, but take that, add the thickness of the spacer and thats what you need). even a 5mm spacer will make your effective offset 30mm which is pushing it. if a 5mm spacer doesnt work, get new wheels. if the 5mm spacer does fix the problem, roll your fenders immediatly.

ECS Tuning

Default You should always consult TireRack to make sure a particular wheel will fit a particular car. They

don't even clear the brakes with your spacers?

Default Switch over to studs and lugnuts, available from 2bennett in CA

It won't solve the current interference problem, but it makes wheel instal MUCH easier with thicker spacers!

Default Caliper clearance has little to do with offset and

everything to do with the shape of the spokes of the wheel. Just because the wheels are the same size doesn't mean they're the same shape.

15mm spacers are huge, why are you using such a large spacer? Get longer wheel bolts from Tire Rack.
