Where can I get an exact replacement o-ring for the Oil Cooler? Audi...

... lists 2 types depending on VIN#. Tried both, neither work; one is similar to photo but is smaller diameter and only has 2 grip points (vs. 3), the other type is a combined o-ring and baffle. Although the baffle fits inside the cooler just like the original brown one, the o-ring can't seat properly on the face of the cooler. Car is 7/99 build. Can anyone help? Otherwise I'll have to reuse the original o-ring :( In the 2nd pic, is the baffle blanking the correct hole (I lost track)? Thanks, Tony |

That's one of the ones I tried. See the inner circle of "nubs"? They're
different. Also, it's the outer circle of nubs on mine that stop the whole thing from seating flush.

i'd find the PN of the mounting block and do a where used in ETKA to see what
other models used it. Then the oil coolers on those models should be compatible. just a thought.

Great idea but darn Cooler has no numbers on it. Parts Dept
and I looked all over it... We're all stumped!
Really appreciate your replies. Tony |
i meant the pn off the mounting block that is bolted to the block.
the part that is on the car and the OC attaches too.
anyway, so these are the PNs you know?: |
