Who has installed Samco hoses themselves, difficulty?
I can't find a write up on it either, just want to know where all these hoses go.
Thanks |
Simple enough
take out your old hoses one by one and replace as needed.
I hope you purchased some clamps |
I've got the clamps, are there any of these hoses that are hard to get to?
Is it worth it to pay someone $170 to install them all.
|
depends on how much time you have to kill. the hoses that go on the turbos are alittle hard to get
|
Lord no! Just do some clamps one day and more the next...so on.
When you take the belly cover off, you can see a majority of where the hoses will go. Some are a PITA though.
|
the real question is, are the samco hoses worth it?
I have the complete set in red. I think I ended up taking all of them off except the f-hose now. They flex a bit too much and don't work with RS4 inlets, the bi-pipe and intercoolers. Not worth it for me.
|
agreed...I had full black kit on and now only have the TBB on. After getting the FMIC
|
Don't tell me that! I just ordered a set for my KO4 conversion.......
I also have the APR Bi-Pipe, but I'm using the stock I/C's. What happened, are the hoses blowing off under boost? If not the Samco hoses, what high pressure hoses are we supposed to use??
|
Are there Samco hoses for RS4 ICs?
|
are your stock hoses blowing off?
If so its a problem with the clamps not the hoses. There is NO need for these hoses other than esthetics. I admit I wanted some bling under the hood but after seeing the upper inlet pipe hose being bent and crushed that caused restrictions, I started taking them off.
