Default one good way is to get the front end up and pull the motor/tranny out through the front

you'll need to remove the entire front end of course..it's tedious, but not too bad. having extra hands like my dad and funkweasel made it alot better =)..good luck

Default We've removed engine and tranny without lift

As piggie says, pull the front clip and drop or remove the subframe and you can pull it out.

And yes, have people there to help guide the engine in and out. A jack under the tranny helps for this.

Thanks for your input. I'm gonna give it a try. Don't trust mechanics.

Default are you located in norcal?

If so, I would like to offer a helping hand to see how this can be done. I would like to do my own turbo swap in the future as well.
