Default Who here has experience with carbon fiber trunklids? I am interested....

Provided that it is a good fit. I would like to do the hood and trunk and paint them. I do not want to install it if it fits poorly though! Any help or pics would be great!

Default If you're trying to minimize weight, why not remove it from the front instead?

You said that you're looking at a CF hood, which is a good idea. But instead of a trunklid, why not do CF front fenders? You'd be removing more weight from the front of the car instead of the rear, but the overall weight reduction would still be substantial. You'd get a better balance that way.

But yes, track first, then reduce weight and track again!
