Who was it here that is working on adapting a later intake mani to an '00? Any new progress/pics?

Re: You mean putting a 2001.5 manifold on an '00? I have that on my car with phelonic spacers for ov
I thought there were some changes that needed to be made to breather and/or vacuum lines. Looking for info about that.

Me. I was going to do it this weekend, but have to wait. The reason being,
I have a Bi-Pipe on and it's a pain(on my car) to get on and off because it's VERY tight. I'm planning to do and oil cooler kit, EFK w/ VSC, and other little stuff. So I'm waiting since I have to pull off my bumper and stuff to do it then. Now keep in mind...doing a 2001.5-02 manifold to an 2000-01 is WAY different than doing a early Allroad or A6 Auto tranny manifold to a 00-01 S4. With those you don't have to tap in new hose connections in the back. It's more plug and play. Also if you don't get the fuel rail with the updated manifold there are other things that have to be done. I have both so I don't have to worry about it. There will be a complete right up in 2-3 weeks as this weekend I'll be out of town and thats IF Josh@Achtuning gets me my oil cooler kit! <crossing fingers>

Thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye out for your posts.
BTW, how does the early Allroad or A6 auto mani compare to the 01.5+ in terms of design, flow, etc? Are those considered a 2nd best option despite being simpler to adapt? TIA

They are pretty much the same...I believe the ONLY difference is that in the
back the early AR/A6 mani's have the nipples ready to go and you can slide on hoses. On the 2001.5-02 have clip on style. So you have to cut those off or cut out that part. Then either weld a plate in or cut yours out on your 2000-01 and weld it in. If you weld in the plate you then have to tap in some fittings. The fuel rails differ also on the side of the N249 valve. The housing is a little different, but it's no biggie. You can just reroute and make it work.
