Default Who is running STaSIS or DesignIt motor mounts?

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/64403/mount_1.jpg">

Any logs of timing retard and/or correction factor? Conventional wisdom indicates that stiffer mounts would affect timing, but I've seen posts to the contrary. I'd like to see some data to back it up though.

Also, subjectively how do they feel? Transmit any additional vibration?

I'd definitely consider the mounts as they don't have any potential to leak.

dont they have the same risk of cracking due to heat exposure/weather conditions breakdown??

I haven't had any problems with the stock or RS4 mounts cracking. Only leaking.

Default right, but i meant since these are a urethane material (or something to the effect)

wouldnt the issue then be that of cracking from temperature extremes......so you would eb going from leaking to cracking is basically what i am trying to say.

I do not understand why solid mounts would cause knock??

Default less dampening in the mount means more vibration is seen form the frame and the motor

the knock sensors work basically off of vibration. when the motor is seeing more vibration due to its own rotation, then the knock sensors in turn see it too. so when the knock sensors see it, they think it is knock from the cylinders and cut timing accordingly as a fail safe.

Default supposedly the engines vibrations wont be as dampened and will trip the knock sensor.

it wont *really* cause knock, just cause the sensor to think theres some.

whether or not any vibrations are on the frequencies the knock sensors monitor for or whether they really affect timing or not is beyond me.
