Who should I not buy from again? APR or ECS?
There's nothing worse than getting your car torn apart and THEN realizing you don't have hose clamps to clamp your new RS4 ICs.
From the APR website:
"The Kit:
The kit consists of two primary parts: one, the intercoolers themselves, and two, the hose kit and associated hardware. The hose kit is made up of two turbo to intercooler hoses, two intercooler to bi-pipe hoses, eight clamps, the horn re-location bracket, and cap screws and lock nuts. This hose kit is available separately.
"
Notice it says EIGHT hose clamps. The OD of the (large) hose connections at the ICs is 2.987". The four clamps I have are 1-13/16" - 2-3/4. The old IC hose clamps are too small to use.
I'm already using zip ties on the RS4 Y-pipe with my stage 3 kit, so this missing pieces sh$t is really getting old. Meanwhile, my car is sitting half way out of the garage so I can't leave the house to buy more clamps.
Note to self: TRIPLE check your "kits" when you get them, not after you get the car torn apart.

ECS kicks ***, they have always taken good care of me, but...
you would think after spending over 4gs with them that when i asked if I could have a a few stickers they would kick down. but no i guess the $.40 stickers are a buy only item

APR parts bought through ECS
In their defense, I ordered $9k+ of parts at one time. I was sent the missing stage 3 pieces in short order, except for the Y-pipe clamps. They went out of their way to get the problem sorted out ASAP.
I used zip ties and figured I'd buy good clamps from Mcmaster-carr after I had more parts to order. I wasn't worried about having them send more clamps since the car was driveable. I didn't call and give them a chance to fix it, so I really can't hold it against them.
Yes, I like buying everything from ECS but damn.. where's the QA?

sounds like snow trooper should've got a sticker
snow trooper: If you want the stickers (or keychain) I'll send them for postage. Heck, if any poseurs want an Ohlin sticker I'll send that out too. I'm keeping my car low-key.
