Default Why do I keep blowing fuses on my V1 hardwire install?

I keep blowing the fuse on the V1 from power to the direct-wire adapter (the thing w/ 2 phone jacks). I took off the plastic from the spade connector and put it in fuse slot 27. 1st I grounded on the nut above the fuses, but then after establishing that my o connectors were ****ty and thin I bought some good ones along w/ more fuses and then grounded to the nut below the fuses. The new fuses are 1A250V if that helps. I 1st thought it was my ground, now I don't know. tia for the help

btw: not my 1st hardwire install, but 1st on the S

1amp 250 volt fuses?...shouldn't that be like a 2.5-10amp 14volt fuse?

Default Might be the direct power adaptor...

If the V1 works properly off the cig lighter adaptor, then I might suspect something is wrong with the direct power adaptor. Check all the wiring between the fuse and the V1 to make sure it's okay...if it is, replace the direct power adaptor.

Default What do you mean the dpa works fine off the cig lighter...

When you wire up the V1, you use either the DPA or the cig lighter adaptor, not both.
