Why do my brakes not bite...Setup Stasis SS-Front, TS-Rear
*This was more a post about my brake setup than scaveging for used parts*
First my brake set-up might be fundementally flawed.
Stasis SS front rotors and Stasis TS rears.
SS lines all around
Porterfield R4-S pads up front and Whatever came with the TS in the rear.
I feel like I am getting no bite from my front pads. And I get very little dusting. A good and a bad thing I guess but is making me feel that either my biase is off to the point of no return, or the initial friction of my front pads is way too low relative to my rear pads/biase.
I'd like to try some HP+ pads or maybe Axxis Ultimates? Something with more bite, and more dust!! (dont' really need more dust but I figure they come hand in hand)
I know it's not a BBK, but for mostly street use this should get me buy and I use Carbotech XP-8's on the track and those haul me down pretty good in this configuration.
Does anyone think my brake setup is fundementally flawed from the get go and skewed because of biase, or with the proper pad should I get decent performance. Any reccomendations other than BBK.

I am located in EL SEGUNDO, If anyone has any ideas
or wants to help me do a complete brake flush. I know how to bleed them, but I'm thinking maybe a full flush is inorder. Followed by a canyon run in malibu. Maybe I can continue to use my R4-S's with a good flush.
Have fun with El Segundo, shakes head.

Kinda-sorta...
I got the setup used for about the cost of the rear set-up new. Less than 2000 with NIB Porterfield R4s pads for the front, and whatever comes with the TS's on the rear. They felt great with my Carbotech XP-8 pads at the track, which have more initial bite than what I have on there now. (I think)

And the crappy feel happened after a track event, where I got them super hot
But this was about a year ago, I'd think any damage I did would have warn off by now.
Resurfacing Alcon rotors a good idea? Anyone know? Think I'll try pads first.
I'll try sanding them and a full brake flush for starters. Maybe some HPS pads or ultimates before I go BBK. Rather put my $$ in suspension than BBK if I can help it. Upgrade from HR CO's

Your pads are toast. I have R4-S as well and I did a track event with them and they turned to charc
charcoal. As a matter of fact, after that one of the pads separated from the backing and I had metal on metal. I ordered some R4 race pads directly from porterfield today and she was not surprised - said that they will absolutely be killed by track use in heavy cars like ours.
