Why are people comparing the S4 to the current M3? (m)

Default Why are people comparing the S4 to the current M3? (m)
I think a lot of people are comparing the current Audi Line up with the Current BMW line up, and getting the wrong idea. Heres what I mean...

RS4 = M3
S4 = 330
A4 1.8 = 325
TT = Z3
RS6 = M5
A6 4.2 = 540

Mainly on the facotr of the S4 vs the Current M3. I think we should be comparring the RS4 to the M3, where the RS4 is the winner.. Think about price ranges, hp..

Default You can't accurately compare the RS4 to the M3 for two reasons
One..not available here

Then why the S4? Base S4 was $39K base M3 is like $53K? RS4 was $70K? What about HP, 333 to 250?

Default base on a new M3 is like $46K
I think there within about 6K and they were both out in 2001 and 2002 so that makes them comparable.
