i have a 2001.5 mbox 6 speed, i want to purchase a chip that is made for the h-box, the part number is 774j08x.07A
does anybody know if this chip will work on my m-box?
ive tried to call awe but no answer..summertime here they must be busy folks.

Whatever you do, make sure it comes WITH the encryption board.

No, M box and T box are interchangeable, AFAIK those are the only ones.

Many people try and sell JUST the chip. If you don't already have a GIAC encryption board, the chip will be worthless do you. When people sell a used chip, it should be sold WITH the encryption board. You cannot just get a GIAC chip soldered right onto the ECU.. it won't work, you need to solder the encryption board onto your ECU, then put the chip on that.

You may already know this.. just cautioning as many have been burned by this in the past.

You do have to do some recoding of the instrument cluster through VAG-COM. I can't remember the settings, so please someone post the procedure.
