Default Will a PhatNoise fit in the stock CD changer location?

Tried a search, but it reported NO hits for phatnoise. Hmmm. But anyhow, can I simply slide out
my CD changer and slip in the phatnoise -with the
appropriate cable, of course?

thanks,

scot

Default Yeah, but I would reccomend just sliding the Phatnoise in and either velcroing

it down, or wedging it in there instead of screwing it in the CD changer screw holes. It will make it much easier to get it out in case you need to pull the plug in the future. It is a PITA to get the bracket out to get to the screws...which you will find out when you go to get the changer out. Many who had the older Phatnoise just velcroed it in there cause it was flat on the bottom. The new unit is angled, so I don't know if you'll be able to zelcro it, but you might. I just wedged a folded piece of paer in there to keep it secure.

Default Use the screws, not that hard...

It's not going anywhere with velcro, I can't even pull it out with a lot of force

Default It hardly moves with nothing at all. That thing is already snug in there. I just want to have easy

access to it in case they update the firmware again. I hate getting that bracket out of there to get to the screws.

I thought that the firmware for the Phatbox is on the DMS cartridge, which is easily removed.

It is certainly wedged in there pretty good even without screws or velcro!
