Default Wind Noise

I get serious wind noise leaking in where the front doors meet the B-pillar at the top corner. This happens at 120 MPH+. does everyone experience this? Any tips on re-aligning the door?

thanks

Default you can re-align the B-pillar, but not the door, AFAIK....

you have to remove the plastic piece at the bottom of the B-pillar to gain access to the bolts for re-aligning

Default you can make the door close tighter by adjusting the latches on the pillar.

All you need is a allen wrench and use the markings as a reference to adjust.

Default Known Problem... There's a way to fix it.

There is a web page about that left mirror noise problem at high speed. I'll try again to find it and post it here.

You have also this help file HERE on AudiWorld. Go in "Tech" section, click on "Misc. Topics" and search for the A4 mod named "Fixing wind noise problems".

Basically, you must go at Home-Depot and buy plastic-rubber tubing (like a long straw, small diameter) that you push and squeeze inside the space between the door and the mirror (where the mirror connects).

Default you can align the door, AND the window portion

If you take the interior portion off the door, there are adjustment points for the window frame both at the hinge side, and the latch side of the door. (Allen bolts if I remember correctly)
These are adjustable, as is the latch on the B-pillar itself (though you need a tool called a "tripple square")

It takes a while to get right, patients patients patients....
