Default WTB - low mileage OEM S4 flywheel

e-mail me if you have one. I am looking for a core to have resurfaced prior to an upcoming clutch install.

IIRC, you can't resurface a dual-mass flywheel.

Default the goal is to not have the car sitting apart for a week

or two while I am getting my flywheel resurfaced. I am betting that someone who had upgraded to a lighter flywheel has an OEM flywheel gathering dust in thier garage.

That's what I was told as well. I wonder what Jason does that everyone else says can't be done.

Default I don't know. But I researched a replacement, and the singlemass flywheels seemed too light

which had a negative effect at certain RPM ranges causing harmonic distortion (rattleing). So rather than replacing it with the OEM S4 once, I am replacing it with the OEM RS4 one. IT's marginally lighter, but I will have it weighed before it's installed. (ordered today)

Default Same here, I stayed with stock. My tech said it looked good except for one small spot which he ...

resurfaced by hand. He said they called the machine shop they use and the guy told him dual mass FW couldn't be resurfaced. Hmmm, I wonder is ND does them by hand as I assume the reason no one else does them is because it cant be done safely/correctly on a lathe.
