WTF? Washer pump adapter...electrical connector....ARGH!!
My dumbass, before REALLY looking at the electrical adapter for the new version of the washer pump I snip off the old and of course the new adapter doesn't have the lead to connect the wiring to the adapter. Is there another part number I needed? I ordered the two parts listed in the DIY for this task but damn those wire. What am I missing? CRAP!!
Otherwise, the write-up about removing the washer resevoir is great! Thanks.

you cut the wires?
The dealer tech told me they cut the plastic tab off either the new motor or connector to make it work on new pumps. I forget which. I'm *slightly* **** so I cut the stock connector apart to get the pins out and use the new connector. Did you leave enough wire length on the connector to allow the use of solder ferrules to reconnect the wires?
I screwed up while trying to cut a cable tie at the firewall and had to repair wires with solder ferrules.
