Default Re: Sportecs and selling ...

First, I *really* like the Sportecs ... but 28 lbs is a bit portly, 'specially for $450 a pop! [Yes that's the same weight as stock but in an 18x8.5 wheel ... it's still too heavy!]

As far as selling, I was trying to guage interest should I decide to sell. My problem isn't that I *have* to sell it -- affording it's not the issue. I've just been having a hard time justifying it to myself given that I essentially live off of prior investments (and my wife), and things aren't as good as they used to be (i.e., my portfolio submarines daily). My situation is analagous to that of a company who's stock was at $100 and now it's down to $30 ... the company's not going to go under, but it should probably rid itself of things like private jets. : )

Don't think you guys are getting rid of me that fast!

Default phew....

good to hear. I know how it feels I was laid off a bit over 2 months ago now (after 1.5 years on the job) and I had a period of 2 months that I didn't have much income. luckily I was 98% out of debt because I had paid off tons and tons of college and other debt in the year previous, otherwise it would have been hard to get by. That and I had some side work and contract work that kept the money coming in. It was at a pretty crummy time with my wedding coming up and all. I am working full time again so thats good. Selling the S4 crossed my mind once too, but after I slapped myself silly I knew I could never get rid of it!

I'm thinking about sportecs. Since they won't be my track wheels (I'm thinking Oz Chronos for that) I reaally don't care how much they weigh. In fact, I'm considering 19s!!

18s are 25 lbs (according to Ace) ... so not too bad, but not SSR Comp lite either.

Default Ace lists an S4 fitment, and there's another S4 owner running them in 18s ...

... though I'm not sure if he's using spacers (or if he had to earlier in brake pad's life).

Default Hey that's me! NO spacers needed - I put them when the brake pads...

were almost new - I think I had like 4000 miles on the car.
