X-Post: RS4 Exact Match Grill Mesh for bumper mods
Thought some of you might be interested. Looks great and is a much closer match than the OEM RS4 Lower bumper mesh or HD Mesh.

How can it be a better match to RS4 mesh than OEM RS4 mesh??
If you said cheaper alternative, I totally agree. But since it requires finishing for a color match (one of the downfalls of using anything other than OEM) I can't agree it is a "closer match" other than it is closer than the HD stuff.
I'd like to get a few sheets of that stuff to play around with..

Re: How can it be a better match to RS4 mesh than OEM RS4 mesh??
OEM RS4 lower bumper mesh has a larger diamond pattern that does not match the size of RS4 grill mesh. Some people dont care, but if you are like myself you want an exact match before cutting sections out of your bumper.
This mesh is without a doubt a closer match to the grill than the lower bumper mesh. I use a high quality paint that adhears very well. Also, the product is black before being painted so even if you do manage to chip a bit of the paint off its not going to stand out at all. The material is flexable but strong and will stand up agaised regular road debris no problem.
It's not cheap to have made and is not a mass produced part - but some people like myself want an exact match. I am selling off the remainder of the one sheet I'm having cut and that's it. Just wanted to offer it to those looking for an exact match with OEM look.
Most questions have been answered in the thread so read from the top. I hope to have mine installed in the near future and will post pics once I do and I also have some AZ members checking it out in person this week so look for posts with their impressions of the quality.

got it....I'd buy some of it for sure...
I guess my question is more...if the RS4 lower mesh is made for an RS4, as Audi wanted the match to reflct the upper grill...how could it be better.
But it comes down to preference.
I have made dozens of lower grill sets and IMHO, nothing is better looking, a better fit or has better longevity than the OEM stuff...
That said, I could use this mesh for other projects so if you have some left over, let's strike a deal..

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2169634.phtml</a
