Ya know, considering the resale value, as of late, going down at a pretty decent clip for our cars,
does anyone here think/feel that the prices for aftermarket parts (across the board) should be going down likewise? I sure as hell do.
Bought my car for 26k 1yr 4mo ago w/38k on the clock. mt/silver/onyx. I'd be luck to see 20k now with 49k on the clock. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
rant over.

Aftermarket parts are going up - a rant
Particullarly RS4 parts - way up. AWE had the right idea to forgo RS4 parts. Unfortunately there are not enough S4s to encourage others to get into the low cost parts/tuning business. Now if you want internal parts to really get up there, like pistons, rods, cranks, heads and cams (Shrick, not RS4) and want 600 HP - pay $27,000 to Dahlback/TJM Tuning. Does anyone want to pay more for engine tuning alone than the car is worth? This is not a Honda. Ridiculous!

So vote with your wallet. It's a pretty small market of cars...
to begin with, and only gets smaller as they get stolen or totalled. It takes a lot of time and money to tool up anything for a small market segment.
Tuners are getting the prices they ask because buyers are freely choosing to pay. That's the way a free market works.
