I have one of just the four rings - nice and clean! Also, there is a third party faceplate that...
 

matches the Audi Red PERFECTLY. The red faceplate that you can get from RIO is orangish and doesn't match well. If you want info on either shoot me an email and I'll send you links when I get home.

As far as the glove box goes, I think it could fit, there is enough room but you would loose the use of MOST of the glove box and it would be tough to make look good. Just loose the stock head unit!
