There's not that much heat on the calipers unless you're tracking the car. Touch them (or use a thermometer) after your normal drive. Regular paint and vinyl should be good for 275*-300*F.

Touching calipers is also a good way to see if one of your pads is dragging. Touch a wheel to check if the bearing is going. Both on the same axle should be about the same.

How does the brake dust look on these? Seems like it would show up more with yellow than red and much less with black

This is an old post. Can anyone point me to a quality set? It just looks like a mess out on eBay. Per another post, I might repaint them, but if there are truly matching decals I can replace over the existing ones, I might try that first since painting is a big deal requiring removal. It would be great if there was an Audi part you could just pick up!
