Hey everyone. I am ordering a 2014 s6 tomorrow and really would like to add the gz2 option of soft close/auto trunk close. I know it is a "secret" option supposedly on s6 and is available on rs6. Has anyone actually added it successfully as an option or Can anyone confirm the ability to order this option on The s6? Thanks in advance!

I had inquired with my dealer and they suggested we order the option and see if it gets rejected or not. I've yet to order so I don't know anything more but am anxious to hear others' experience as well.

Hope you get this hidden option. Always wondered why "simple" options like these can't be offered in the first MY. Can't be that tough?

FWIW, I dont see any 2014 S6's ordered with this option anywhere in the US. I dont think its something you can get.

I'm about to place an order for a '14 S6 and asked about this as well since I'd really want an auto closing trunk. Dealer said there is no such option for the A6/S6.

As an owner of a '13 S6 I can confirm it's an option I would definitely get. The S6 trunk requires a substantial slam to actually close. (I'm 6' and capable of closing a trunk)

Oh I'm willing to pay for it but was told not an option. Any Audi of America people or dealer reps here can confirm?

The trunk does indeed require quite a slam to shut it. I was going to try to adjust it before (usually the catch is adjustable) but i did't have time to figure out how to properly remove the plastic trim piece that conceals the adjustment... Maybe this week.

However, I wonder if this is intentional to prevent rattles?
