If the C8 just uses the replicated RS5 TT 2.9L V6, without adding the 48V subsystem and electric supercharger, I expect it to be a slug off the line.

Enjoy your S6! Mike
I took delivery of my car on Saturday. A long wait, especially without communication from the dealer, but now I've got it. Worth the wait. I'll post some pics of it (after it gets washed) in the picture forum. Appreciate everyone's assistance in this. So glad it came with the 4.0 V8; sounds amazing!

I took delivery of my S8 today! It was a long wait, and the way it was listed on my dealers inventory caused me to worry that it was sold to someone else who may have offered more than my deal. I'll try to adhere to the engine break in instructions, but it will be tough. What a beauty!

Congrats on receiving your new cars!

Is the 2018 S6 still the C7 body? Did they change the engine?

The 2018 S6 appears to be unchanged from 2017 C7.5 S6: https://www.audiusa.com/models/audi-s6

That's correct, the 2018 is unchanged from last year. Which really became good news when I took it in for an ECU and TCU upgrade from APR. My shop was able to find my box code already in the system and perform the upgrade even though APR doesn't officially list any tunes available for it. I think a lot of posters have said the 2019 model year will be all new.
