2020 S6 review up...
#12
Having driven a RS5 Sportback and having had a C8 A6 3.0 for a few days as a loaner, I chose to replace our second C7 S6 with a 2018 S6. The 2020 S6 will likely handle no better than a C7.5 S6 with Eurocode sway bars and probably be slightly slower due to the extra weight. The new touchscreen MMI and HVAC controls require taking your eyes off the road to operate and the LCD speedo and tach aren't as nice as good old analog guages. They are always covered in fingerprints too.
I'm not crazy the direction Porsche and Audi are going interior-wise. And the fake exhaust on an S car is a deal breaker IMO.

The touchscreen can be frustrating for some, until you realize that 90% of what you can do is executable via voice control...which is vastly superior to the old car.
The older car has character for sure. But I think the new one will out perform it in every measurable data point.

It's amazing that after all the issues with the 4.0 turbos people would still rather have that over an engine that has proven reliable so far. And the 2.9 should be very tunable in a lighter package.
As far as fake exhaust not having it stick out the back actually opens the car up for more variation in aftermarket.
