Arras Red questions
Hi folks - considering an S6 for my next ride. I see a lot of Arras Red interiors out there in the market. In some photos it looks very RED and in others it’s muted somewhat. Three questions:
1 - Does the color get more pronounced or shiny over time?
2 - For those of you who chose Arras, do you still like it after living with it - any regrets ?
3 - Do others react to it as if it’s over the top?
thanks for the input

I have had the Arras Red since Oct 30th an 1000 miles... so not many miles with it yet. It does get positive responses from most and I do like it for the wow factor. I also like the look of the Red interior.

Just picked up new S6 over the weekend with Arras Red. Prior to seeing it in a car, I didn't like any of the pics...looked far too bright, too much of a splash for my taste. When I finally saw it in person–which was an accident as I was only looking to confirm exterior color–it was a game changer. Color is much more muted, though a bit more of statement than black (which was I set out to get). If you haven't seen one in person, be sure to do so before writing it off.

Just keep in mind red leather ages really badly. I had 2 cars with very similar leather quality and color (more of a burgundy than red), and they aged badly, even though I'm super careful how I get in and out, and I'm a thin guy. I basically don't touch my seats when getting in and out. Yet, the creases that inevitably develop change in color, and look really bad. And if you actually rub the seats, they'd look aged in a heartbeat, even when conditioned. But if you keep them conditioned, they age much better, so do that, AND lever yourself in and out of the car, to keep them looking good longer. They might look great, but they're a deal-breaker for me now. And since the black interior has a very attractive contrast stitching, I actually liked it better than the red, so didn't feel bad this time. Ha ha. Good luck.
