Some of the early 2018 MY S6 might have the old oil strainer.

TSB 2044640/2 November 21, 2017 is the first turbo TSB version that includes the new oil strainer 079115175G.

TSB 2044640/3 May 14, 2018 "Revised Production Solution (Added information)" is the first turbo TSB version to mention the "Production Solution
Optimized oil strainer 079115175G for oil supply lines to turbochargers in the cover in the inner valley of engine. The oil strainer and check valve 079103175C must always be replaced to ensure proper oil flow to the turbochargers."

Also, this Summer 2018 Audi ATU explains the 4.0T cam adjuster problem & mentions the newer optimized timing chain glide rail # 079109470A in production since April 2017 for the 4.0T (page 9 & 11): https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...50761-9999.pdf

Thanks for this additional info! So basically cars made after May2018 might be safe bet overall?
